Telephone Tape Recorder Interface
The Telephone Recording Interface is used to automatically operate a tape recorder (not supplied) so that all conversations that take place on the target phone line are recorded. It only operates the tape machine while the phone is in use so no tape is wasted or left blank. It is connected in parallel with the phone line and to the tape recorder's REMOTE and MIC sockets. It can also be used with voice activated tape recorders/personal dictation machines. These only need to have a MIC socket as the voice activation circuitry will automatically start and stop the recorder as the phone is used. The device will operate recorders with 1.5-12V battery systems and it also has an onboard polarity switch so that it can be used with either positive or negative wired REMOTE sockets. Telephone Call Logger
Do you know what calls are being made on your phone when you're away? The new Telephone Call Logger automatically keeps a detailed record of all outgoing calls on your line. Records the start and stop time of ALL outgoing calls along with the number dialed (plus any other digits pressed during the call). It operates "stand alone" - no need for any connection to a PC. Data is stored in non-volatile so there is no loss of data during power failures. The logger can record over 2800 10-digit telephone numbers ( that's 28,000+ digits ). The logger will record about 8 months worth of calls for the average household. Logged data can be downloaded into a PC via a serial port and saved to disk. The data is formatted so that it can be easily imported into Microsoft Excel©. As a bonus, call data is output in "real time" to the serial port in addition to being recorded to memory. This is useful when immediate call analysis and/or external data logging is required. Two phone jacks are provided on the rear panel, marked "LINE" and "PHONE". This allows a telephone to be connected and used even when the logger is put in its place.
